“We cannot focus upon the weaknesses of one another and evoke strengths. You cannot focus upon the things that you think they are doing wrong, and evoke things that will make you feel better.

You’ve got to beat the drum that makes you feel good when you beat it. And when you do, you’ll be a strong signal of influence that will help them to reconnect with who they are.”
~ Abraham-Hicks

That cancels any plans I had about complaining today. Guess I will have to do something about it or let it go instead.

What about you?

Great quote. I read something similar that said, don’t be anti-war, be pro-peace. Give your energy to the positive. Sometimes hard to keep in mind… thanks for the reminder.

We bloggers are thinking along similar lines today. The only flaw in your reasoning is: How do abused children get over the lack of love they’ve endured? I count myself as lucky to have been born with loving parents. Thanks for your thoughts. Beat the drum and dance to the rhythm you hear.

Adults who were abused as adults or children too can focus on the light and choose the life they want. Painful experiences don’t stop people. The strongest people move forward focusing on what they can control.

Throws the responsibility for well-being, whether in our relationship with ourselves or with others, right back in our own laps, doesn’t it? 😉

I love Abraham-Hicks quotes and this one is really awesome – it’s so true to say how on earth can we expect what we *want* to show up when we seem mesmerized by what we do NOT want ;).
